Made in the most wonderful colour palette of silver and ivory, set off by a lilac satin finish, this original 1950's halter dress is just the piece to add to your cocktail wardrobe. The nylon fabric of the dress boasts a silver base with a raised swirling ivory leaf pattern.
The halter neckline is accented by a lilac satin neck strap, which gathers in pleats along either side of the top of the bust-line. The sweetheart neckline gathers in sewn pleats along the décolletage, which is set off by a lilac ribbon bow, which gives the illusion of a threaded design that joins the neckline. The fitted and boned bodice, draws the eye to the cinched in waistline. The near full circle cut of the skirt, drapes elegantly from the waistline, completing this dress in an iconic 1950's silhouette. This dress has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume, this is not included within the listing.

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. A few very light scattered pin sized age marks to the satin neck strap . The neck strap appears to have been taken in along the nape, this can be undone to lengthen the strap. There is a small seam mend along the right hand side of the bust-line where the ribbon joins the dress. Light and natural impression marks to the satin accents of the dress. A few very Leith and well concealed age marks along the skirt-line. These are very minor and only apparent under very close inspection. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
